ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) is a disease in which the lining of the large intestine (colon) becomes inflamed. This inflammation leads to the formation of raw sores, or ulcers, causing pain and bloody diarrhea. UC usually begins gradually with bloody diarrhea, rectal bleeding, cramps or pain in the belly, and growing urgency to move the bowels. Depending on which area of the colon is affected, the stool may be normal or hard and dry.
Other symptoms may be fever, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, anaemia from loss of blood, pus in the stool, malnutrition and slow growth in children.
UC can also affect parts of the body outside the colon, causing skin sores, mouth sores, joint pain, and inflammation of the eyes, the liver, the kidneys or the gallbladder.
Homeopathic medicines Merc Sol, Merc Cor, Sulphur and Phosphorus are a few of the important ones used in treating ulcerative colitis. The patient requiring Merc Sol has a continuous urge for passing stool and urine ? a never-get-done feeling. One often passes pure blood or bloody water. Symptoms asking for Merc Cor are nearly the same as those of Merc Sol; it is only the intensity which contributes to the selection. Merc Cor has more violent attacks, with a violent urge to pass stool and to urinate. Intense suffering follows. Phosphorus is indicated in cases which have painless and profuse stool passed involuntarily and freely.

dont worry.just go on fruits, avoid spicy food, take lots of water ,30 min walk daily and try to busy yourself,enjoy with family,every thing will be fine in couple of days.
dear sir I have proctitis ( colitis in rectum) from 2 year and taking vegaz od tab 3 time in a day and prednisolon 30 mg per day and suffering from severe anxiety and depression (negative thoughts) and always urge to have bowel movement but nothing come and also bloating a lot of gas in stomach

Have problem digesting most foods. So eating very controlled low fiber diet, which is dairy free, gluten free and sugar free. No fried, fatty food. Avoiding most fruit and fresh vegetables, except for bananas, and an occasional apple, when feeling better.

I would like to get some advice regarding my 18 years old son who is having issues with his bowel movement. He is bit constipated always. Last year he had two episodes of loose motion/diarrhea types while he went to the loo frequently, I gave him over the counter medicines. Afterwards slowly he started going to the loo two -three times a day, he says he has the feeling its not done yet. He feels the urge to go to the toilet just after any meal. The trouble is he cant concentrate in school as he tries to manage it in school and goes to the loo once he is at home. Its distracting him from study, and is feeling low. He also feel very gassy, and has to pass gas. His poo comes with noise and quickly, not very hard, lumpy but not very watery. What bothering him is immediately after any meal he starts feeling the urge to going to the toilet again to release poo.
We went to GP, and done a poo test which came out normal. Now GP gave him Laxido Orange SF 13.8g sachet to be taken two in a day with water.
I am planning to give him Nux Vom 30 along with Kali Mur6x,Nat Sulph6x, Kali Phos6x and Ferr Phos 6x, also Nat Phos 6x and Nat Mur 6x. Also limiting his milk and Bread intake.
He is otherwise healthy, does swimming and tries to eat healthy.
I would really need some advice regarding what else to give him, specially if there is more effective medicine in Homeopathy. I did some research and looks like Nat Mur, Nat Phos, Calc Flour and Nux vom(Homeo) might be good. But I am not very sure. I will appreciate any help from you.

Iam suffering from IBD chorns from 4-5 years or around 6. Initially I have been to many doctors and none of them identified that iam suffering from this terrible issue. So everyone says it could be an ulcer, gastric problem and 1 1/2 year back I met a lady doctor and she confirmed that iam suffering from IBD chorns by colonoscopy.
