What is plantar fasciitis?
Plantar fascia is a thick band of connective tissue in sole of the foot running from heel to the base. Inflammation of this thick fascia is referred to as plantar fasciitis. The main symptom of plantar fasciitis is pain in the heel. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain.
Why does plantar fasciitis arise?
The exact cause of plantar fasciitis is not clearly understood. Any factor that puts excessive stress, strain on the plantar fascia makes a person prone to plantar fasciitis. I’ve had plantar fasciitis for 3 years. Started from walking for miles on hard beach sand.
It is better but I’m still not able to walk for too long.
My feet are often burning at night, tingly, and when walking or standing too long, become painful. Look forward to your comments.

My wife have problem of Plantar Fasciitis. When she wakeup in the morning she feels alot of pain in the heel after walking some steps she feel little better. Here an helopathy doctor put injection in the heel for the pain relief. An injecrion with the name “K Cort” was used 1st time and after one year again pain started and we again have the injectiin in the heel. Now after one year again the pain started. Hi I have developed severe pain down the right side of my foot predominantly the underneath. Excruciating. Makes walking v difficult. No swelling or heat. Goes along the length of my foot and getting extending pains into toes. And up into calf. I think this may be PF. It’s better for rest, worse on putting any weight on and taking more than a few steps. My heel is not involved tho.

This is second time around for PF for me, and I am being treated by a podiatrist with a boot, for walking around the house, a night splint when sleeping, ibuprofens (600mg once a day), I use an iced bottle, rest and elevate my foot. I also wear Hoka Clifton shoes while working as a dog walker. I’m not getting any sustained results or relief from these methods.
