Chronic sinusitis is a condition in which the sinuses inside our skull become inflamed for months and years together. This condition can considerably reduce ones quality of life. Patients suffering from chronic Sinusitis complain of difficulty in breathing from nose, headaches, pain and tenderness in the face.
Yellow greenish discharges may also be present from the nose and also from the back of the throat. In most cases, this kind of chronic inflammation in the sinuses is caused by underlying allergic reactions to pollen, pet dander, and dust mites, smoke etc. Homeopathic treatment of chronic sinusitis is very effective and has a strong edge over the conventional treatments. The main symptoms of chronic sinusitis are pain in the face and pressure in the areas of forehead, temples, cheeks, and nose and behind the eyes, discharge of a thick yellow or greenish discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat, obstructed and difficult breathing through the nose, diminished sense of smell or taste, frequent Headache (especially in morning), Teeth pain, Fatigue, Cough, and Sore throat.
As homeopathy is a symptom based system of medicine, the prescription is based upon the symptoms presented by the patient. Many symptomatic factors determine the choice of remedy .i.e. the type of discharges from the nose and throat, the sinus that is involved and other factors like the time of the year when this problem increases also its relation to weather. The main homeopathic medicines used for treating chronic sinusitis are Hydrastis, kali bichrome, Silicea and Merc Sol. Luffa Opercula requires a special mention for treating allergies and sinusitis both. Lemna Minor works well in cases where the sinusitis is complicated by nasal polyps.
At times the treatment of underlying allergy may also require a totally different set of medicines. Prescription based on the detailed study of the patient’s physical and mental makeup (which is also called as constitutional prescribing) is at times required to cure the allergy from the base.

I have a chronic condition similar to sinusitis. For over 20 yrs. I get the attack 2-3 times a year, common triggers being stress, weather change, etc.
Starts with a heavy head for 2 days, with runny blocked nose, sore throat by day 3-4, when I usually have to start antibiotics. By day 5 of antibiotics, I still have a cough and chest congestion, which take another few days to go. I have to take anti allergies which make me drowsy. But I feel very weak and tired ALL the time.
Please advise if this is chronic sinusitis. And what I can take in homoeopathy . Thanks.

I have sarcoidosis and a sinus infection, pseudomonas, enabled by the sarcoid’s negative influence on my immune system. She has been treated by aelopathic doctors and ayurvedic doctors but no result. Now she is taking homoeopathic medicines from a dr in orissa. Some times she gets relief in joint pain but next two days she again is suffering from joint pain and other pains like breathing problem , head ache, body pain.

Almost 2 month passed that we did the operation from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad Pakistan. I am male patient age 48 years suffering from nasal polyps from 2001. Undergone asurgery 2003 and 2006 respectively. Managing myself with intermittent cortico steroids. Condition gone bad since last ten years. no smell, No taste. Skin problen arising due to fungal infection which appears to be side effect of steroids as it aggravates when I start any steroid. i am sufferig from sinus problem for more than 10 year . the symptoms are no discharge through nose , feeling pressure in head , polyp in left nose ( the partition is bent towards left nose like a small red ball ) , many times slow fever feeling but no reading in thermometer , swelling of head back side of both ears and skull is not smooth in back side of skull , some times i find small white balls ( size of mustard seed) coming out of nose during sneezing , and smelling bad , no good sleep, mainly more uneasiness at evening , freshness after bath , nose is choked most of times but during sleep it is more , working in air conditioned room ( but slow ac) and in that room no nose choking , al ways chillness , problem with vision ( decreasing ) . my sinus condition started several years ago and is chronic. I sleep … a lot. I feel so congested at times that it’s difficult to breathe and often when I blow my nose, nothing comes out. when it does it ranges anywhere from clear to white to yellow and can be thick or thin. recently I have felt dizzy at night. I don’t have much pain. I have just begun taking Hylands Bioplasma which seems to be breaking things up a little bit. when I use a neti pot it feels like there is a deep area that is not helped by the rinse. thank you in advance for any suggestions. I have had past sinus infections…but have been free of them for several years. Three weeks ago I had a virus which immediately became a serious sinus infection. I took an antibiotic which cleared infection but the swelling/drainage/pressure will not clear up. I am 75 & do have allergies to dairy/citrus/walnuts/peanuts.. Which I totally avoid.
Is there a homeopathic solution for me???
