Chronic sinusitis is a condition in which the sinuses inside our skull become inflamed for months and years together. This condition can considerably reduce ones quality of life. Patients suffering from chronic Sinusitis complain of difficulty in breathing from nose, headaches, pain and tenderness in the face.
Yellow greenish discharges may also be present from the nose and also from the back of the throat. In most cases, this kind of chronic inflammation in the sinuses is caused by underlying allergic reactions to pollen, pet dander, and dust mites, smoke etc. Homeopathic treatment of chronic sinusitis is very effective and has a strong edge over the conventional treatments. The main symptoms of chronic sinusitis are pain in the face and pressure in the areas of forehead, temples, cheeks, and nose and behind the eyes, discharge of a thick yellow or greenish discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat, obstructed and difficult breathing through the nose, diminished sense of smell or taste, frequent Headache (especially in morning), Teeth pain, Fatigue, Cough, and Sore throat.
As homeopathy is a symptom based system of medicine, the prescription is based upon the symptoms presented by the patient. Many symptomatic factors determine the choice of remedy .i.e. the type of discharges from the nose and throat, the sinus that is involved and other factors like the time of the year when this problem increases also its relation to weather. The main homeopathic medicines used for treating chronic sinusitis are Hydrastis, kali bichrome, Silicea and Merc Sol. Luffa Opercula requires a special mention for treating allergies and sinusitis both. Lemna Minor works well in cases where the sinusitis is complicated by nasal polyps.
At times the treatment of underlying allergy may also require a totally different set of medicines. Prescription based on the detailed study of the patient’s physical and mental makeup (which is also called as constitutional prescribing) is at times required to cure the allergy from the base.

hi- i am a 56 yr old woman living in rural shropshire, not working due to mental helath issues( anxiety and depression) though worked all my life until 2013- and have sinus issues constantly and for many years.
i have been diagnosed with chronic rhinitis ( pls forgive typos/spelling etc, have also got broken wrist!)
and i am at the end of my tether really with it- this past few years have gotten worse each few months, i have a nasonex spray and occasional anti-bacterial cream to apply up in the nostrils when it get s bloody, which is now- and ahs been for over three months now. GP just did a swab, no infection indicated. i try to manage this as best i can, but i am in a cycle of keeping my nostril all inflamed due to excessive blowing. when i tilt or bend down, by nose fills with revolting mucus. i do not have polyps thankfully. i do not have any allergies other than antihistamine based medicines, and pseudoephedrine used in many decongestants. the pain increases as they filll up/get wrose, and today i am so in pain i dont know what to do- as GP is very sympathetic but there isnt anything stronger i can hvae ( i get co- dydramol for when bad)

My daughter is 11 years old.Since one month she having pain on his fore head,point between nose & Fore head,Below the eye towards nose.But she having no problem of sneezing,coughing ,taking breath,running nose.She taking antibiotics since last one month but there is no improvement.As per ENT doctor it is sinus problem.X-rays not giving any clear indications.Pl. prescribe Homeopathy medicine so that she will continue it.Pl. advice also about food,bath,fruits etc.

After five years of working at home, I took a job in a daycare center. As an infant teacher,
I am exposed to lots of germs every day. I wash my hands all the time, but cannot seem

I really fedup of this its 13 months now really dont know what to do… little exercise feels me better some times, but most time the dizziness is real problem which i notice when i have some fruits like watermelon. Doc still my 50% life is remained and i don’t wana waist my days like this …plz help

I am suffering with sinusitis since my child hood days. have done polyps surgery twice in my nose almost 15 years back and tonsilitis surgery once 20 years back. Now though i am feeling better than my childhood days, still suffering with frequent throat infection, continuos sneezing, nasal bloackage or congestion, heaviness of head, feeling the fluid accumulation in frontal area and while sweating, getting severe head ache, followed by vomitting, tiredness, loss of appettite, nasal congestion. Reoccurring sinusitis for 5 years, comes on Nov / Dec – congested nose, congestive headaches. Fatigue very debilitating with the headache. No nasal discharge. Posterior discharge of some stringy mucous, no colour. Avoid all meds normally but desperate after after 4 weeks. Improved for 2 weeks but back again. Face sore to touch. now and then i suffer from cold, nose gets block, slight pain around throat, forehead, around ckeeks and nose, thrfoat is full of cough and lots of white mucus splits out. The condition is such that when i stand outside during nidht for 2o minutest i start sneezing and from next morning cough and cold starts. I am really fed up with this condition.
Also in 2003 i suffered from TB . I got the treatment for six months.
