Chronic sinusitis is a condition in which the sinuses inside our skull become inflamed for months and years together. This condition can considerably reduce ones quality of life. Patients suffering from chronic Sinusitis complain of difficulty in breathing from nose, headaches, pain and tenderness in the face.
Yellow greenish discharges may also be present from the nose and also from the back of the throat. In most cases, this kind of chronic inflammation in the sinuses is caused by underlying allergic reactions to pollen, pet dander, and dust mites, smoke etc. Homeopathic treatment of chronic sinusitis is very effective and has a strong edge over the conventional treatments. Symptoms of Chronic sinusitis resemble those of acute sinusitis, but usually last much longer and cause more fatigue. The main symptoms of chronic sinusitis are pain in the face and pressure in the areas of forehead, temples, cheeks, and nose and behind the eyes, discharge of a thick yellow or greenish discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat, obstructed and difficult breathing through the nose, diminished sense of smell or taste, frequent Headache (especially in morning), Teeth pain, Fatigue, Cough, and Sore throat.
As homeopathy is a symptom based system of medicine, the prescription is based upon the symptoms presented by the patient. Many symptomatic factors determine the choice of remedy .i.e. the type of discharges from the nose and throat, the sinus that is involved and other factors like the time of the year when this problem increases also its relation to weather. The main homeopathic medicines used for treating chronic sinusitis are Hydrastis, kali bichrome, Silicea and Merc Sol. Luffa Opercula requires a special mention for treating allergies and sinusitis both. Lemna Minor works well in cases where the sinusitis is complicated by nasal polyps.
At times the treatment of underlying allergy may also require a totally different set of medicines. Prescription based on the detailed study of the patient’s physical and mental makeup (which is also called as constitutional prescribing) is at times required to cure the allergy from the base.

I have been suffering from allergic rhinitis since 2008. I have taken taken homeopathic medication for one year.There was significant help i had through it. But yet i have that ailment & now a days it seems chronic. Like i have developed GERD,regular discharge of mucus through nose as well as mouth,chilling & piercing sensation around ear,suffers from cold at interval of 1 month,pain at the right side of cheek just beside the nose,pain in teeth just below the right nostril.
I had many antibiotics but none helped.I got a CT Scan of PNS too.

I have been suffering from severe allergies, chronic sinusitis, rhinitis and asthma for more than 15 yrs, I came to a point where i consumed all the treatment starting from nasal spray, inhalers, antihistamines, cough syrup, decongestion medications, antibiotics and corticosones and finally steroid injections.. nothing seems to cure the problems. At times in one night i had to be given 12 shots of solocort. Problems keep recurring. During asthma attack i feel severe heat going out of my body and go crazy if i cannot access air-conditioning during the attack.
Have had two bilateral FESS to clear the blockage, remove polyps and correct deviated septum. But after months of surgery the problems are back. and have to resort to steroids.
I would like to try alternate medicines as because of prolonged use of steroids my skin has become very thin. looking forward to hearing from you as soon . I nasal flush regularly. am 46 yrs of age.

Namaskar. I am suffering from sinusitis since 3 months which i detected after suffering from teeth ache,water dropping from eyes and gum infection.Treatment taken for teeth and got treated Gum flap surgery.At last it was detected as sinusitis by ENT surgeon from PNS X Ray and medicine taken for the same.But no improvement noticed and suggested for Operation through CT scan.In this context please suggest me Homeo medicine for this severe Sinustis and period of treatment.

I am suffering from severe snoring. Rather I should say my wife is suffering because of my loud snoring.
My mouth remains open during night and the sound is more from the throat. My throat dries up frequently and therefore I drink water during the night and so I wake up frequently at night to urinate. Net result, disturbed sleep at night and morning fatigue.

My age is approx forty eight years. I am suffering in cronic sanocites since last eleven years. CT scan and other tests have been done time to time as per doctors i am suffering sinsus problem. six years age i was operated in hospital and polyips were removed but no relief. some doctor said it is muscle tension in forehead and allergy problem. i am totally unable to travel or moving any where. firstly my right nosal side being blocked and pain is started in frontal side than its move in all the head after some time vomting symptance being appeared. my throat is badly effected due to to this disease. i used many antibiotic and anti allergy medicines during entire period. Some times noses are open and in cold,dust and raining season it generally blocks the nose and after some times home remedies or some allergical tablets it becomes alright and continued wel for some days or some months.When noses are bloc ked then water flow constantly. Pl suggest soon.

Sir, I am suffereing with allergy to dust, strong smell, home dust, cent, etc. I frequently get throat infection, itching, irritation on soft palate and hard palate, neck pain, back pain, both knees. I have sinusitis which was detected after an xray .I have headache and the facial bones ache.The socket of the eyes pain and there is heaviness in the head.Sinusitis was detectedwhen there was discharge from my left ear.The discharge is plain watery with no colour or smell.The ENT told me that the discharge is due to sinusitis.My age is 62yrs. I dont have a running cold but there is mucus in the nose.
Please prescribe me some very effective medicine to stop the discharge from the ear also.
