ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) is a disease in which the lining of the large intestine (colon) becomes inflamed. This inflammation leads to the formation of raw sores, or ulcers, causing pain and bloody diarrhea. UC usually begins gradually with bloody diarrhea, rectal bleeding, cramps or pain in the belly, and growing urgency to move the bowels. Depending on which area of the colon is affected, the stool may be normal or hard and dry.
Other symptoms may be fever, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, anaemia from loss of blood, pus in the stool, malnutrition and slow growth in children.
UC can also affect parts of the body outside the colon, causing skin sores, mouth sores, joint pain, and inflammation of the eyes, the liver, the kidneys or the gallbladder.
Homeopathic medicines Merc Sol, Merc Cor, Sulphur and Phosphorus are a few of the important ones used in treating ulcerative colitis. The patient requiring Merc Sol has a continuous urge for passing stool and urine ? a never-get-done feeling. One often passes pure blood or bloody water. Symptoms asking for Merc Cor are nearly the same as those of Merc Sol; it is only the intensity which contributes to the selection. Merc Cor has more violent attacks, with a violent urge to pass stool and to urinate. Intense suffering follows. Phosphorus is indicated in cases which have painless and profuse stool passed involuntarily and freely.
Sulphur is indicated in long-standing cases of ulcerative colitis

i m also facing the ulerative colitis pl tel whether i can stay without medicine i hv stopped taking medicine.but ther is little bleeding in stools i was taking mescol od 400 nuroday folic acid orofer and wysolene i tuk for 7weeks from 2 to 1.5 to 1to 1/2 tab according to dr, prescription

My wife, age 52 years is sufffering from UC, since last 15-16 years. Initially, 15 years back,it got cured/subsided with Salazopurine & wysolon. Now it has again agrevated with bowel movement upt 15 times a day. Alopathy again, wysolon 40 mg, reduced to 10 mg for 1 month and mesacol 2400 gm has given some relief but not cured. Side effects, increase in weight, body & face swelling, diabetis.
Can you suggest homeo medicine for permanent cure
i am unmarried girl of 33 years and suffering from loose stools since my birth. my weight is 25kg. my stool has never been normal. i attend toilet for more than 10 to 12 times per 24 hrs.i have been using steriods on medical prescriptios and still using i tab. of predlisolone per 24hrs. my hip joints have also been damaged. my intake is very poor as i cannot consume so many things. stool is somtimes with blood and sometimes without. my real problem is loose motion

I have ulcerative colitis since since the past 6 years. i have been taking balacol, razo D, Vibact, Nutriline. Sometimes it cures and sometimes not, so I have changed to mesacol and, codeine sulfate, VSL 3, mebiz and klap alternatively.
But I did not get cured by any of these combinations. I am unable to go anywhere nd take care of my childrens. Please advice me any medicines to cure this problem permanently.

I am suffering from UC for last 10 years.I am35 years old and does not drink or smoke. I used to go to the toilet for 6-7 times a day only in the mornings before noon. Colonscopy test was done and it was seen that I have ulcerative collitis . Biopsy report was normal. His disease is strange, it did not flare up in the past, it was always at the stable condition, he used to go to the toilet for4-5 times a day only in the mornings before noon. today I have checked HB test it has 12.4. but some times stool passing with blood u please provide any suggestions or recommendation to us? now I taking tablet mesacol 500mg two times a day alongwith folic acid tablet 1 per day. please tell me what type of diet should I take and increase my HB.
