Let me update you my history. I have been facing the issue of urethral stricture since 2004.Intitally in 2007 I was operated by just opening the stricture (Endoscopic urethrotomy)and allowing the scar to heal. Urine flow was OK for about two months and again the stricture got developed(recurrence)
Later on in 2013 I was operated for TURP, in which the enlarged prostate was removed during this the structural part also operated as mentioned above. I was told by the surgeon that keep dilating urethra periodically to prevent recurrence of the stricture again. However, as on today still there is recurrence despite following the dilation procedure regularly.
I want to get rid of the problem permanently. Could you please suggest the way out?

I have the same question as Benson Njiru. Doctors are suggesting me an operation, because of a narrowing in the urethra. 5 years ago, I barely couldn’t urinate anymore, but a couple of days of anti biotics solved the problem.
Now 5 weeks ago, I had to go to the urgencies because Urine wouldn’t flow anymore. They performed dillatation, which was painful because it had become this narrow and near the exit it was iiritated/ infected. After urinating went well for 2 days, than it went worse quickly again, but just in time stablelized and then slowly got better again.
Tehy still suggest a ‘simple’ operation. But I have no confidence in this solution because of all the negative testimonies and because except for those 3 times in 29 years, I have no real problems urinating. Yes urinating takes longer for me and I have to apply some pressure. But bladder is always empty and there are no problems.
I believe natural treatments could be a better solution.
I also believe the obstruction is rather higher up in the urethra and might have to do with an infection of the mucuous membrane. Also suffer from obstructions now and then in the nose (nose breathing is often obstructed) and the ear: leading to irritation and infections.
