Corneal ulcer refers to an open sore or erosion forming on the cornea. Cornea is a transparent part covering the front portion of the eye including pupil, iris and the anterior chamber. Causes

Signs and Symptoms

Its signs and symptoms include inflamed eyes, soreness of eyes, pain in the eyes, blurring of vision, profuse tearing, eye discharge, pus discharge, swelling of the eyelids, white spot on the cornea, a sensation of foreign body in the eye and sensitivity to light. Contact Dermatitis refers to a skin rash that occurs from coming in contact with certain substances or an allergic reaction to it. Causes

It arises due to exposure to a particular substance that tends to make the skin irritated or causes an allergic reaction to it. There are numerous such substances that can lead to it. 

Contact dermatitis is divided into three types that includes irritant contact dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis and photocontact  dermatitis. These types are described below: 

1. Irritant Contact Dermatitis

Insect bites are puncture wounds caused by insects. Insects tend to bite either to defend themselves when they are agitated or when they are seeking to feed. Symptoms

The insect bite leads to redness, swelling, inflammation, pain, stinging sensation at the site being bitten or stung. Next blisters (fluid filled eruptions) may develop on the affected skin site. Itching, and irritation on skin can be felt. The site of bite or sting may be hot to touch and may also have numbness and a tingling sensation. These signs and symptoms are not serious and tend to resolve within a few days normally. But in some cases from an allergic reaction urticaria develops on the skin. Urticaria is also known as hives which refers to raised, pale red itchy wheals / bumps on the skin surface that results from an allergic skin reaction. The wheals can be attended with burning and stinging pains.  In rare cases a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to the insect venom may occur. The reaction that will occur varies upon which insect has bitten / stung a person and the sensitivity of a person individually towards it. Sometimes infection occurs in the insect bite cases. In this case there occur pus formation in or around the area of bite, an unwell feeling, fever, flu like symptoms and swelling of the glands.

Mosquito

In case of mosquito bite a small, round bump occurs after bite on the skin being bitten. After that it tends to get hard and red. It also gets swollen along with itching. They may also transmit diseases like dengue fever, malaria, Zika, yellow fever if they are carriers of its infectious agent.

Bedbug

In case of bedbug bite a person gets a rash attended with itching from an allergic reaction. The rash is small red swollen with a dark red center. These appear in the uncovered body parts and occur in a line or in cluster form. Itchy blisters (fluid – filled bumps) or urticaria may occur at the site of being bitten.

Fire ants 

Its bite causes red swollen spots on the skin with a blister on  the top. It is attended with itching pain, stinging and burning sensation. In some of its cases intense allergic reactions can arise which is very dangerous. Its signs are generalised itching, swelling over the body and trouble breathing. 

Fly bites

It leads to skin rash at the bitten area. It is itchy and painful. Sometimes they can cause severe allergic reactions. They can also cause spread of insect – borne diseases.

Flea bites

In case of flea bites usually wheals appear initially that become hard papules within 12 – 24 hours. These are located in clusters on the lower legs and feet. Fleas can also cause transmission of certain disease like typhus 

Tick

Chiggers

Bees

Wasps

Stiff knees refers to a condition in which there is difficulty in moving the knee joint within normal range of motion resulting in its restricted movement. It is a very common issue that occurs mainly in elderly persons and people who are physically very active. It can arise as a result of a knee injury. 1. Auditory Hallucinations

These are the most common type of hallucinations among all the types. In this a person hears sounds (like hissing, whistling etc) or voices, music which are not there in reality. 6. General somatic sensation

In this a person feels as if his/her body is mutilated, disfigured, torn or some internal organs are removed from the body. There may also be a perception as if some animal has invaded the internal organ or his flesh is decomposing.

Causes

It can be caused by multiple reasons.

Firstly, it can arise from various psychological conditions among which the most common is schizophrenia (a psychological disorder in which reality is interpreted abnormally and the sufferer have hallucinations, delusions, and disordered thinking). A hookworm infection is an infection caused by intestinal parasites called hookworm. Among various hookworms the main hookworms that can cause infection includes Ancylostoma duodena and Necator americanus. Symptoms 

There may be no symptoms at all of this infection especially if a person is healthy and has strong immunity, take an iron rich diet and the infection is of mild intensity. In cases where symptoms arise, initially there occurs itching and skin rash from allergic reaction located on the skin area from where the larvae penetrated into the skin. When the hookworm enters and grows in the intestine there appears diarrhoea (loose stool), pain in abdomen, abdominal colic / cramps, loss of appetite, nausea, blood in stool, tired feeling, weight loss and fever. Inflammation in one or both the ovaries (a part of the female reproductive system that produces an ovum means the egg and the female hormones) is referred to as oophoritis. It is frequently seen in combination with salpingitis (inflamed fallopian tubes ) and in this case it is known as salpingo oophoritis. Homeopathic remedies for oophoritis  help in reducing the inflammation of ovaries and relieving the symptoms of this disorder.
As in most of the cases the inflammation doesn’t occur in ovaries alone and is accompanied by inflammation in other parts of female genitals like fallopian tubes so the term salpingo-oophoritis or  PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) are preferable terms.

Causes 

This condition is common in young females who are sexually active. Mostly it occurs due to sexually transmitted infections (STI’s). First example of such infection is gonorrhea (it is a STI caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae). Another example of this type of infection is chlamydia (this STI is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis). Next it can arise from bacterial infection that travels upwards from vagina, cervix and fallopian tubes. It may result for example during childbirth, from incorrect insertion of intrauterine device or inserting it without proper sterilization, from an abortion/miscarriage. Other than above it may occur from malfunctioning of the immune system known as autoimmune oophoritis.

Symptoms 

There may be no symptoms of oophoritis in some cases. When symptoms do arise, they can come slowly and gradually in some cases while in others they occur suddenly. The symptoms include pelvic pain or lower abdominal pain, heavy bleeding during menses, inter menstrual bleeding, excessive vaginal discharge that can be offensive, painful intercourse, bleeding during intercourse, pain / burning while urinating, difficulty in passing urine. In long run cases fever, chills and vomiting can also appear. 

If this condition is not properly treated in time then it can lead to damage of the ovaries and fallopian tubes. The damage to the fallopian tube increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy (In this case the fertilized egg in spite of attaching to the uterus is attached to outside the uterus like in fallopian tube, cervix, abdominal cavity). It also makes a female prone to infection and abscess ( a pocket containing pus) formation.
